Complete Opposite

What a difference a week makes! The scene above is our backyard last Saturday. This weekend its sunny, crisp, and beautiful!

The freak snowstorm sure wreaked a lot of havoc. For my family it was a minor inconvenience. Well, maybe not for my daughter. Of all days to have her driver's skill test scheduled. She really wanted to go, but I had to be the bad guy and say its out of the question. We got around 7 inches and the snow was heavy and very wet. So Cait had to reschedule her appointment. Now she has to wait until 12/3, which she is not too happy about. But it gives her more time to practice the parallel parking. :)

The storm continued to be a problem for many people in our area, even after it melted. The snow pretty much melted the next day, but many people were without power for days. As of this Saturday night, there were still about 4000 people in the county without electricity. The local electric company said in today's newspaper that the electric would be restored to all customers no later than tonight.
