Cape May NJ - Summaer at the Beach

Selfie time!

What a great week we had in Cape May New Jersey this past week. We could not have asked for more beautiful weather. And since its early in the summer season, it really was not that crowded.

We stayed at a beautiful hotel, the The Grand Hotel of Cape May, right on Beach Avenue across the street from the beach. The room was really nice with a comfy bed and a little kitchenette.

We ate at a lot of nice restaurants / diners and also made some food at our room. Of course we had to have a seafood night and I had salmon with crab meat while hubby had the broiled seafood platter with a little of everything including a 1/2 a lobster. A great meal was of course at The Gecko (love Mexican), but a new find was fish tacos made with Mahi Mahi. Yum!

With all the eating we had to get in some exercise so we road bikes everyday... and everywhere. It was so much fun riding the Cape May streets admiring the old Victorian houses. In the mornings we road the promenade along the beach which had a great view and wonderful sea breeze. We also did plenty of walking through the town and on the beach.

One day we wanted to do something different and my sunburned arms needed a rest. We decided to take the 2 hour dolphin watch boat tour. It was a lot of fun and we saw many dolphins including a couple babies.

We made a lot of great memories. Cannot wait until next year's trip! :)

Hope you are enjoying the summer days too!

It’s great that you and your husband still go out and do a lot of stuff together. And this latest trip seems quite lovely. The dolphin watch must have been quite fun, especially the part with the baby dolphins. Anyway, thank you for sharing this post with us. All the best!
