Enjoying Christmas and Family

The holiday season seemed to sneak up on me this year but not in a bad way. I was not really feeling the spirit until the about 3 weeks ago. Work had been so busy and there were things I wanted to get done before I was off for 2 weeks.

Once the feeling came I got all the preparation done in no time. Christmas shopping done in 4 trips. Decorating completed quickly with the help of hubby. Didn't go overboard with lights outside this year, just simple and pretty.

The best part of the holiday is spending time with family and friends. Unfortunately, my daughter did not come home this year, but I vow to go see her in Massachusetts, real soon. Below are some of the pictures I took to remember the moments.

Christmas is on its way

Its starting to like Christmas. We decorated inside last week and put the finishing touches outside. We even had three little snow storms in the past couple of weeks. Shopping is 95% done and cards have been mailed. Bring on the holidays.

And pretty soon I will be off from work for about 13 days. More time to spend with family, including my little fur babies.

Smiles this weekend!

Can you guess what my granddaughter Emmie is saying? "Cheese!" πŸ˜ƒ I said give me a smile and you can be excused from the table. This is the result. She sure brought a lot of smiles this weekend. Here are some of our adventures.

I also decided to make some vegetable soup. There is nothing like a hearty meal for a windy day. Yum!

And last but not least... as promised... here is the picture I painted on Thursday night. No Picasso, lol, but we had so much fun in painting class.

As the weekend closes, I look forward to smiling my way through the short week at work and celebrating Thanksgiving. πŸ—πŸ°πŸˆ

Count your blessings.πŸ™
